Bin ein wenig unentschieden heute frueh obwohl die Sonne strahlt. Die Vorfreude auf den Fruehling und waermere Tage sind da - aber eigentlich wollten wir noch mehr Skifahren...

mein Gehirn funktioniert heute frueh noch nicht so, wie es sollte - daher mal wieder ein Blog in Deutsch.
Mal sehen, ob ich es noch kann...
Falls es mehr Typos als normal gibt, kann ich die Schuld immer noch auf meinen Mittelfinger schieben, der nach dem unliebsamen Kontakt mit dem Brotmesser noch immer Zuflucht in einem Pflaster sucht.

Tonight Morton again put magic on the dinner table - fresh bamboo shoot. I picked it up the last time I shopped at our favorite local Japanese supermarket DAIDO in White Plains.
An unusual grey morning after a weekend filled with glitches. Not that I want to complain or anything - being without cellphone lines on Friday and our website down within the first two weeks of its existence does make me wonder if we really live in the 21rst century.
Getting into the habit to twitter, mostly because SMS messages are expensive in this country and not included in our plan.
I am surrounded by people who check their e-mail on their cellphone - or Handy or Natel or Mobile,depending on the country you live in :-).
Morton is trying a new recipe and I am worried about all the plastic bits above the flames ...

heute war ich bei Jade's Klasse zu Besuch und habe mit einigen anderen Muettern ausgeholfen. Sie durften ihre zuvor selbstgeschriebenen (besser gesagt,"diktierten") Geschichten illustrieren. Wir sollten die Kinder erinnern, dass sie moeglichst viele Details zeichnen sollten. Jade war ganz in ihrem Element und durfte auch noch das Titelbild malen.

Mein Koerper nimmt es mir uebel, dass man uns eine Stunde aufgrund der Umstellung auf Sommerzeit geklaut hat. Also - ab in die Falle - ich mache es mir mit meinem neuestem Comic gemuetlich - BABY BLUES - THE DAY PHONICS KICKED IN.
Da Jade gerade in dem Alter ist, in dem sie phonetisch buchstabieren lernt, werde ich mich sicherlich kringelig lachen.
what an exciting Saturday soccer event - the FC Westchester Blue and White team were really strong today and because one team didn't show, the boys got extra playing time in scrimmages and played some cool moves. Both teams were mixed up again - dynamics work different each time.
Felix was successful first thing in the morning and scored a goal - again playing defense - or was he?
